tahoe trip

been in Tahoe for some of the big snowstorms, haven't been keeping up on the blog very well, but I been trying to keep busy, here are some random shots from the Tahoe area while out shooting. It's always a lot of work for a little reward but I love it.

Embry Rucker is a huge inspiration of mine, he's got a bunch of these well done on his blog. I found a great view of Lake Tahoe that I wanted to try it out. not too shabby,I'm not a big photoshop user, I kinda just stick to lightroom, so I'm into this,because I tried, perfect? no far from it, but its still a sweet view and I hope to try more sometime.

Seasonal Siblings

3 good friends of mine have started a website and video blog series that documents their traveling pro snowboarding lives, from contests to shooting the backcountry. Ian Thorley, Sam Hulbert and Brandon Reis along with other riders will be posting video episodes periodically on the website, http://seasonalsiblings.com/. Heres episode one, keep an eye out, I'm exicted to see whatelse they have to offer especially since I'll be living with them for the season.

In Print: Transworld Photo Annual Volume 24

Picked up the new transworld photo annual and was stoked to see my shot of Flow rider Brandon Reis as a 2 page spread in the wallpaper section, first wallpaper and first 2 page spread I've ever have had in print, couldn't be happier to find it in the photo annual. take a peak. big thanks to Chris and the guys at transworld, and brandon for killing it

hiking the AT

big post today people, normally I would rather show the best of the best shots from a personal shoot like a small portfolio, but this camping trip was just so awesome, challenging and fun that I wanted to share with the other hikers and all readers what myself and four other friends did and to make you feel like you were all there. The back story quick is we been wanting to hike a challenging portion of the Appalachian trail, just about 30 miles was our goal. The group took off work, skipped classes and got our asses out there for a weekend trip, hike in friday afternoon and night, camp, 11 miles saturday, 11 miles sunday, destination High Point, the highest point in New Jersey. Not only was the hike challenging but so was getting photo opportunities, we made it happen and I hope tim,jeff,dan and liz got as much out of this as I did. good times! thanks everyone! Here are the photos I came out with.

if dan didn't have that filter, we'd all have beaver fever

after the filling up on water we hauled ass as close as we could to sunrise mtn

this campsite was awesome tucked away and we had lots of animal activity which got a little crazy, but thats what this was all about.

woke up at 530 and got up to sunrise mountain, and it was worth it, jeff and tim soaking it in at the pavilion.
